WE'VE FOUND THE SOLUTION TO SKILLS SHORTAGES - APPRENTICESHIPS...

Over the last four years we have successfully trained three apprentices who are now fully employed by Socket & Allied.  Our experience has been so positive that we have recently hired two more apprentices for engineering production.
 
In total we will have trained two young people in administrative duties and three in engineering production.  We strongly believe these young people will be the future of our business, and bringing aged engineers out of retirement or hiring short-term European labour is not the answer.
 
Our apprentices will achieve NVQs in their various disciplines and will be encouraged to continuously develop their skills and qualifications fully supported by the Company. 
 
We announced earlier this year that we had a 52% increase in revenue at the end of our financial year ending April 2017 – I can confirm this trend has continued and Socket & Allied is on track for another record year.
